A friend forwarded to me an email sent to her from another friend. What struck me most was this sentence:

"Remember, when the world pushes you to your knees, you're in the perfect position to pray."
Many times circumstances in our lives hit us hard and figuratively and literally knock the wind out of us and throws us to the ground. There on our knees - shocked, bewildered and afraid-we may tend to crumple. But there on our knees, is the perfect position for us lift our eyes and our hearts heavenward in prayer to our heavenly Father.

It does matter who or what forced you to your knees today. What matters is that you use the situation and the position to petition God for comfort, guidance, wisdom and deliverance. What matters is that you use the situation and the position to pray from the depths of your heart to the God who loves you and cares for you.

Are you on your knees today? You're in the perfect position to pray.
